Geoffrey Stone

“To my surprise, I fell in love with teaching and never left. I discovered the opportunity to challenge students, to push them, to enlighten them, to get them to understand how to think better and more clearly themselves, to clarify their thoughts in a Socratic way.”

Geoffrey R. Stone is the Edward H. Levi Distinguished Service Professor at the University of Chicago. Mr. Stone was a law clerk to U.S. Supreme Court Justice William J. Brennan, Jr. and is the author of many influential books on constitutional law, including Perilous Times: Free Speech in Wartime (2004).
